GDPR
GDPR Training
GDPR Training is a mandatory module for all appointments. It covers the basic information that individual’s need to know in relation to the General Data Protection Regulations, what this means for their role and for Scouting and how to effectively align with it. Topics covered:
- Personal Data
- Individuals’ rights
- Consent
- Accountability & Governance
This module consists of an online e-learning session followed by validation by your local Training Advisor.
GDPR e-learning
Everyone should start with the e-learning course on the Scout Association Website before validation.
Please note: The e-learning module does not produce a certificate at the end of the module. The learner will need to speak with their Training Advisor who will validate the module against the validation criteria. For BWDS adults, this is via the Validation link below.
Please click the link below to access the training.
BWDS Validation
We have set up a questionnaire that you can use to validate the GDPR Training online using the button below. All questions and answers used in the questionnaire are based on the ‘General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) Training addition’ and ‘General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) Training [TAG page]’, both published on https://members.scouts.org.uk/supportresources/search?cat=23.
Please ensure you have completed the Online e-learning via the link above before validating the module. The page includes guidance on the e-learning process and the link to the online learning.
This questionnaire will ask you for your membership number and name. These will be used for the purpose of locating your Compass record to allow this to be updated with your GDPR training. You will also be asked to provide a phone contact. This will be used by the BWDS Training team to contact you if there are any questions where your responses are not in line with Scout direction on GDPR.
If you have any questions or issues with the GDPR validation process please contact your GSL or the DC
If you have any questions about the questionnaire itself, please contact Bob Cooper at activities@BWDS.org.uk
