Tomahawk Throwing
Tomahawk Throwing is the newest activity that we are offering as a District and now have a group of trained instructors able to run this for Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Adults.
Note: BWDS do not run Tomahawk Throwing for Beavers as we do not believe they have the physical capability to get the most from the activity.
We have set of portable targets which can be set up almost anywhere (see below) as well as both full size Tomahawk throwing axes as well as smaller ‘Mini-hawks’.
Location
Middle Copse
We have set up a permanent range at Middle Copse and have permission in place to run Tomahawk Throwing there at any time.
If you wish to run the activity at Middle Copse it is the responsibility of the person booking to also book Middle Copse. The Tomahawk team will not book this for you.
Other locations
The activity can be organised at any venue however specific permission from the owner of the premises must be obtained before we can bring the kit on site.
Permission
All youth members must have parent/guardian permission to take part in a Tomahawk Throwing session.
The BWDS – Combined Activity Consent Form should be completed by the parent/guardian of all participants and handed to the activity instructors at the start of the session. Note: This form can also be used for Rifle Shooting and Tomahawk Throwing.
