Nights Away

BWDS Nights away team support BWDS leaders with their Nights away events. If you have any questions or issues please contact the ADC Activities in the first instance.

Nights Away Permit (NAP)

The Nights Away Permit scheme is an internal assessment scheme designed to ensure that all those leading nights away events for young people within Scouting have the skills, experience and personal suitability to do so.

All BWDS NAP enquiries should be sent to Bob Cooper (ADC Activities) at activities@bwds.org.uk
To assist with verification of your permit please include your Permit Number on your NAN form/mail.

Nights Away Notification (NAN)

Note: The NAN Form was changed in October 2018 – Please ensure you are using the current version (below)

Leaders planning a Nights Away event or when sending any of their youngsters away on a group/county Nights Away event where they are not attending, must submit a NAN.
For BWDS, the completed NAN Form should be sent by the Section or Unit Leader, not necessarily the NAP Holder, to Bob Cooper (ADC Activities) as delegated by the District Commissioner – activities@bwds.org.uk
